Clifford Henry Neumann

Clifford Henry Neumann of Kimberly died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Brewster Village in Appleton at age 80. Clifford was born in Oconomowoc on March 5, 1928, to Henry and Frieda (nee Zastrow) Neumann.
He married Josphine Basco in Chicago at St. Stephen’s Church on Dec. 31, 1949. The couple lived in Oconomowoc and moved to Waukesha, where Cliff worked for Wisconsin Electric and remained in their employ for 35 years. Cliff was a talented man, a jack-of-all-trades, and built eight houses in his spare time. He loved fishing and gardening and moved to Three Lakes when he retired in 1988.
At the three churches he belonged to, he was involved at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha, where he was an usher and treasurer of the newly formed Credit Union. At St. Paul Catholic Church in Genesee Depot, he was caretaker of the cemetery. In Three Lakes, he worked at their thrift store and also at the food pantry.
Cliff is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Josphine; seven children, Roxanne Grambsch of Appleton, Richard (Diana) Neumann of Waukesha, James (Cathy) Neumann of Waukesha, Patricia (Fred) Moshier of Lakeland, Fla., Kenneth (Colleen) Neumann of Frisco, Texas, Karen (Mark) Korf of Delavan and Amy (Mike) Gorgen of Sussex; grandchildren, Jason (Bambi), Daniel (Michele), Rebeca, Luke, Justin (Kasey), Scott, Brandon, Jeremy, Jacob, Meikayla, Jordyn, Bailee, Madelyn and Elsie; and great-grandchildren, Peter, Henry, Logan, Chloe and Jeremiah.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Frieda; brothers, Robert, Harold, and Clarence Neumann; granddaughter, Jennifer Strickland; and son-in-law Wesley Grambsch.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass on Monday, May 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Jim Vojtik officiating.
