Arlene M. Hayes

Arlene M. Hayes was born to eternal life Friday, May 2, 2008, at age 76. Arlene was born March 16, 1932, in Sparta, to William and Anna (nee Meissner) Ebert.

She moved to Milwaukee in 1951 where she met the love of her life, Willard Hayes, whom she married Sept. 13, 1952, after his military service in Korea. After raising their large family, the couple enjoyed their great retirement with many dear friends in Arizona.

Arlene was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce Allen; her parents; and a brother, Robert.

Arlene was the beloved wife of 55 years to Willard Bill; loving mother of Jean (Michael) Bowe, Alan (Mary Lou), Debra (Stanley) Stoneking, Barbara (Robert) LePine, William (Joan) and Mary (David) Berg; special grandmother to 15 and great-grandmother to two; and dear sister of Annabelle Sharp, Harvey (Lorraine) Ebert, Merlin (Ruth) Ebert and Roger (Ellie) Ebert. She is also survived by other many loving family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service Friday, May 9, at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, N35-W23360 Capitol Drive, City of Pewaukee.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, for the love and care given to Arlene.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the ALS Society would be appreciated.
