Charles ‘Jack’ Wendlandt

Charles "Jack" Wendlandt of Waukesha died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha at age 85. He was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Plymouth, the son of Arthur and Cecelia (nee Sadlier) Wendlandt.
Jack worked at General Castings in Waukesha for 37 years. He will be remembered as a great husband and dad, an inspiration to his children and grandchildren. Jack was known for his sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Jack is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Delores (nee Giese) of Waukesha; children, Theresa (Don) Heinen of Dousman, Deborah Christenson of Wales and Tim (Doreen) Wendlandt of Fort Atkinson; daughter-in-law, Jane Wendlandt of Waukesha; grandchildren, Renee, Laurie, Lee, James, Amanda, Evan and Morgan; and sisters, Rosemary "Babe" Vaughan of Waukesha, Virginia Hale of Texas and Darlene. Jack is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles "Chip" Wendlandt Jr.; brother, Jim; and a sister, Gertrude.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass on Saturday, May 31, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, with the Rev. Leonard Barbian officiating.
