Alma L. (Kadrich) Petrie

Alma L. (Kadrich) Petrie of Waukesha died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Virginia Health & Rehabilitation Center at age 95. She was born Feb. 6, 1913, in the town of Pewaukee, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (nee Grundman) Wolf.

During World War II, Alma was employed at Michael Yundt Co. in Waukesha, which was an ordinance plant during the war. She worked for the board of education by working in the cafeteria at Waukesha North High School and was a volunteer for many years for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Alma was a charter member of St. William Catholic Church and the first president and member of the Christian Mothers of St. William.

Alma will be deeply missed by her daughter, Beverly (James) Robertson of Waukesha, and son, David (Margaret) Kadrich of Waukesha. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Anne Robertson, Mary (John) Ponasik, Sarah (Steven) Kowalski, Steven (Ann) Robertson, Amy (Carl) Robertson-Marshall, John (Sue) Kadrich and Susan (Terry) Porter; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded by her first husband, John Kadrich, and her second husband, William Petrie.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. William Catholic Church (see address above).
