Robert Chatman ‘Chat’ Nichols
July 7, 1947 - Nov. 8, 2008
Chat graduated in 1965 from Waukesha South High School where he lettered in football, track, baseball and golf. It’s also where he met his wife-to-be, Cathy Domnie. Chat then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is survived by his children, Brandon, Brock (wife Susan, with first grandchild) and Brooke (fiance Bryan); his mother, Olga; his sisters Sandy and Cheryl; and his former wife of 30 years, Cathy. Chat’s journey through his life on earth was filled with an array of adventures that speak of a man with just the right mix of strength, humor and love. He was strong. A car accident left him with a broken neck, but that couldn't stop him from kicking footballs for the Green Bay Packers. He was fun. He loved to cook and entertain, laugh, joke and tease. To know Chat means to have been a victim of one of his pranks. In the end, you were probably laughing as hard as he was. He loved. Chat loved his family and his children more than anything else. And they knew it. And they know that even in his passing, that love continues. Additional information can be found at www.ChatNichols.com.
