Dayl H. Theobald

Dayl H. Theobald, 92, of Oconomowoc, was born to eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at AngelsGrace Hospice. She was born May 19, 1916, in Olds, Iowa, the daughter of Basil and Clara (nee Miller) Huston.

She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Peter B. Theobald.

Dayl was the loving mother of Ann Mawer of Yorkshire, England, Catherine Theobald of Wauwatosa and Rosemary (Kenneth) Hanson of Washington, Iowa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter; daughter, Mary Theobald-Plymesser; son-in-law, D.J. Mawer; six brothers; and three sisters.

She was a longtime member of Zion Episcopal Church, a volunteer for the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Auxillary, a supporter of many local organizations, a devoted gardener and a life master of the American Contract Bridge League.

Holy eucharist for the dead will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Zion Episcopal Church, 135 Rockwell Place, Oconomowoc. Burial will be in LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomowoc. A celebration of life gathering will be held in the fellowship hall at Zion Episcopal Church following the burial.
