Verlon J. Schleifer
Verlon J. Schleifer, 90, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at The Masonic Health Center in Dousman.
Verlon retired from the City of Milwaukee after more than 30 years of loyal service. He was the past grandmaster of Garfield Lodge and was involved in Shriners.
Verlon was preceded in death by the love of his life for more than 61 years, Geneva (nee White), in 2003.
He was the cherished and best dad in the world to Suzanne (Marlon) Banerian, Linda Schleifer and Julie Ann (Philip Pagano) Schleifer; best grandpa of John and Paul Banerian and Patrick McDonough; and loving great-grandpa of Aaron, Coggan, Cadyn and Shannon.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or Three Pillars Masonic Home, 36225 Sunset Drive, Dousman, WI 53118.
