Elizabeth J. "Betty, Brad" Hansen (nee Bradanini)

Elizabeth J. "Betty, Brad" Hansen (nee Bradanini), 79, of Oconomowoc, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Roy Hansen; loving mother of Christine (Dell) Tower, Bradley (Monica) Hansen, Daniel (Bonnie) Hansen, Andrea (Robert) Maki, Kim (Robert) Donius, Roy F. (Kathleen) Hansen, Peter (Patricia) Hansen and Patrick Hansen; cherished grandmother of Chrisdel (Peter) Stokloza, Rebecca and Shane Tower, Chad Hansen, Matthew (Katherine) Hansen, Heather (Timothy) Wittkopp, Jennifer (Frank) Schwefel, Kristin Hansen, Amber (Joshua) Baumann, Ty, Casey, Alise and Cody Maki, Luke Hansen, Amalie (Steven) Oroho, Hansen and Jacob Donius, and Nickolas, Dugan and Tess Hansen; and great-grandmother of Cole Schwefel, Reese Hansen and Zealand Stokloza. Elizabeth is also survived by her brother, Peter Bradanini, along with many special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, along with two well-loved Bedlington terriers, Guen and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Christina Bradanini, and sister, Angelina Betz.

Betty enjoyed golf into her 70s, attending many tournaments. Through her participation in the Naga-Waukee and Kettle Moraine woman’s golf leagues, she developed many friendships. She enjoyed working in her garden, loved poetry and was very artistic.

Betty was engaged in all of her children’s activities and interests from Girl Scouts to ice boating. In earlier years she enjoyed ice skating, and even at 78 she skated at the Olympic Oval Rink.

Betty was a resident of the town of Summit for 59 years and lived on Lower Nemahbin Lake.

She was a long standing member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oconomowoc and St. James Catholic Church in Madison.

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 25, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave. (Highway 67), Oconomowoc. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 120 Nashotah Road, Nashotah, with visitation starting at 9 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
