Sharon Marie ‘Sherry’ Siemers

June 30, 1939 - Oct. 1, 2008

Sharon Marie “Sherry” Siemers (formerly Sharon Dixon) (nee DeSantis) of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at the age of 69 years, after a long illness. Sherry was born June 30, 1939, in Waukesha to Audrey (nee Barber) and the late John “Chet” DeSantis. 

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kenny Siemers, of Waukesha;

her mother, Audrey DeSantis; five children, Corky (Mike) Asby of Eagle, Greg (Sharon) Dixon of Eagle, Mike Dixon of New Berlin, Jeff Dixon of Muskego and Robert “Bobby” (Tami) Dixon of Caldwell; three stepchildren, Kevin Siemers of Manitowoc, Kim Siemers of Plymouth and Kari Abitz of West Allis; 18 grandchildren: Bryan, John, James and Mary Asby, Grant and Emily Dixon, Adam and Brandon Dixon, Allyse Dixon, Valeri Balistreri, Greyson and Marlo Dixon, Nathan, Tyler and Megan Siemers, Nicholas Siemers, Christina Abitz and Heather Manning; and two great-grandchildren, Kolton Siemers and Natalie Siemers. Sherry is also survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John “Chet” DeSantis.

Sherry was a retiree of Briggs & Stratton.

She loved life and lived life to the fullest. Sherry enjoyed people and being near the water. But most of all, her greatest love was her family!

There will be a time of gathering from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, with a celebration of Sherry’s life at 6:30 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (on the corner of highways J and JJ, about four blocks south of Interstate 94 from Highway J), Waukesha.
