Donald R. Horn

Donald R. Horn of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, was born to life June 2, 1932, and born to eternal life Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at age 76.

Don was a retiree of the Milwaukee Fire Department. After retiring, he opened up his own woodworking business, further revealing his artistic talents. He was also a member of the Waukesha Elks Lodge No. 400.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Isabella (nee Duffy) of Waukesha;

his children, Michael (Gloria) Horn of Hesperia, Calif., Sandie (Dale) Karch of Angola, Ind., and Patrick (Caroline) Horn of Muskego; grandchildren, Christina (Jose) Tellez of California, Michael Horn of Iowa, Daniel Horn of Ohio, Andrew (Erica) Karch of Racine, Matthew Karch of Indiana, Johnathan (Jennifer) Karch of Indiana, Heidi Horn of Madison and Sacha Horn of Muskego; great-grandchildren, Margarita, Mercedes and Roman Tellez and Vision and Isabella Karch; sister, Becke Schwalm of Minnesota; brother, Robert (Ruth) Horn of Minnesota; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara (Donald) Lueck of South Milwaukee. Don is also survived by special nephews and nieces, including Gary (Sandy), Kim and Daryl, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Antonie Horn, and his sisters, Evelyn Johnsen and Lucille Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service Saturday, Oct. 25, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army are appreciated.
