Verona I. Brady

Verona I. Brady of Delafield died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at age 88. Verona was born in Harvey, Ill., on April 9, 1920, the daughter of David and Lydia (nee Evans) Hall.

She was a devoted wife fore more than 47 years to the late Edward F. Brady, whom she married Nov. 24, 1938. Verona enjoyed living in Destin, Fla., for more than 19 years. She devoted countless hours to both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Verona spent time volunteering at nursing homes and hospitals for many years. She was also an avid sports fan. Verona’s greatest joy was her family.

Verona will be deeply missed by her children, Francis Patrick (Margaret) Brady, Thomas F. (Marianne) Brady, Mary Margaret (Robert) Clarke and Edward M. (Helen) Brady; grandchildren, Edward (Ann) Brady, Christopher (Elizabeth) Brady, Timothy (Kathy) Brady, Shawn (Mark) Majewski, Lauren Elizabeth Brady, Theodore Brady, Daniel Clarke, Joseph (Monica) Clarke, Lee Clarke, Margaret (John) Wagner, Christine (Omar) Lira, Patrick Brady, Ryan Brady, Megan Brady, Kathryn (Colin) Lavey, Kevin Brady and Maureen Brady; 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew Brady, Meghan Brady, Katherine Majewski, Maggie Majewski, Frank Brady, Jack Brady, Charlie Brady, Kaitlyn Clarke, Thad Clarke, Jackson Wagner, Patrick Brady and Maggie Brady; sister, Virginia "Mickey" Conrad; and other relatives and friends.

Verona is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sisters, Mildred and Phyllis.

The funeral Mass for Verona will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at St. Paul Catholic Church, S38-W31620 Highway D, Genesee Depot. The Rev. Edward Carroll and the Rev. Robert Gosma will be officiating. The visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the church.
