Evelyn M. Wolfe of Waukesha died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Waukesha Springs Health Care Center at age 90. Evelyn was born in New Berlin on Jan. 8, 1918, the daughter of Ernest and Susan (nee Stephens) Pagel.
She was united in marriage to her late husband Earl on Oct. 17, 1936. Evelyn was a charter member of St. William Catholic Church and a member of the Christian Mothers. She was an avid baseball fan and loved to play bingo. Evelynís greatest joy in life was her family.
Evelyn will be deeply missed by her children, Bill (Judy) Wolfe, Jerry (Nancy) Wolfe, Robert Wolfe, Mike (Debbie) Wolfe and Trish (Ron) Bizeau; son-in-law, Dick Gittus; grandchildren, Jenny (Paul), Leslie (Christopher), Cara (Rob), Stephanie, Christopher (Monica), Jeff, Derek (Allison), Dale (Tim), Drew and Robin; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Layna, Madison, Michael, Marin, Ashley, Brandon and Trevor; sister, Kathryn; niece, Christine; and many other relatives and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughters, Suzanne Gittus and Mary Ann; parents; sister, Marie Macke; brother, Nicholas Pagel; and grandson, Eric.
The funeral Mass for Evelyn will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating. The visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Christian Mothers service at 11:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery, New Berlin.
