Barbara C. Multhauf

Barbara C. Multhauf of Tequesta, Fla., and formerly of the town of Genesee, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at age 72. She was born Oct. 26, 1935, in Appleton, to the late George and Leone Selig.
Barbara grew up in the Fox Valley and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1953, and from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education in 1957. She taught in Appleton and later at Leland School in Elm Grove.
On Aug. 6, 1960, she was united in marriage to John E. Multhauf, who survives her.
Following graduation from college, she taught approximately seven years, and thereafter became involved in various charitable projects.
She was a member of St. Jude Parish in Tequesta, where a memorial service will be held in the future at a time to be announced.
Barbara enjoyed an active lifestyle, playing tennis and golf while also traveling the world. She was a longtime member of Merrill Hills County Club in the town of Waukesha and Tequesta Country Club in Florida.
Above all, Barbara enjoyed devoting her time to education and the well-being of her friends and family.
Barbara is survived by three sons, Jay (Christa), Erich (Nicole) and John (Sandra), and a fourth son, Kurt, is deceased. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas (Marion) of Savannah, Ga., and David (Joan) of Seneca, S.C.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Catholic Memorial High School.
