Jeanette M. Rogan (nee Havemann)

Jeanette M. Rogan (nee Havemann) of Waukesha died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Kirkland Crossings in Pewaukee at age 90. Jeanette was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Spillmann) Havemann.

Jeanette grew up and attended schools in Muscatine and won the Iowa State shorthand and typing contest as a young woman. She worked for many years at Commonwealth Title Insurance. Jeanette was an avid bridge player and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will fondly be remembered as an excellent cook and baker. Jeanette was a member of the Catholic Study Club, a founding member of L.O.B.S. and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Jeanette is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia (Willard) Lenz of Fort Atkinson, Dennis Rogan of Hutchinson, Kan., Kathleen Hoffman of Waukesha, Robert Rogan of Yonkers, N.Y., Barbara Rogan of Waukesha, Peggy Rogan of Waukesha and Mary (Thomas) Helgerson of Racine; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Nau of Muscatine, Iowa. Jeanette is additionally survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Helen Havemann; husband, William "Bill" Rogan; and a brother, Fred Havemann.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary service today, Sept. 4, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Bill Key officiating. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waukesha.
