Robert E. Klein

Robert E. Klein of Pewaukee was born to eternal life Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at age 88.

He was the loving father of Tom (Gail) Klein of Madison, Robert (Cheryl) Klein of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nancy Hover of Glenwood City, John Klein of West Allis and Timothy Klein of Pewaukee; proud grandfather of eight grandchildren; special great-grandfather of 10 great-grandchildren; and fond brother of Barbara (Jim) Klokner of Fenimore and Helen (Dick) Bogan of Broomfield, Colo. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Alice (nee Felscher); his parents, Edward and Lucille (nee Kornreich) Klein; and a son, James.

Robert served with honor in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, was co-founder of Kleins Bake Shops located throughout Waukesha County and a past Worshipful Master of Pewaukee Masonic Lodge 246.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m, Friday, Sept 12, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave, Pewaukee. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. The Rev. Ralph D. Schultz will be officiating. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
