Teske Eldor of North Prairie, affectionately known as Bud, 74, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 11, 2008, in his home, surrounded by his family and the people he loved. Bud was born Dec. 21, 1933, the son of the late Orville and Charlotte Teske.

By profession, he was an instructor at Waukesha County Technical College for 28 years. He served on the North Prairie Volunteer Fire Department for more than 40 years and was the former chief. Bud was a past trustee for the North Prairie Village Board and past president of the North Prairie Athletic Association.

He was by passion a loving husband, father, grandpa, outdoorsman, gardener, sailor, Packers fan, silversmith, craftsman, photographer, artist, genealogist, jokester, vintner, animal lover, chef and proud patriot.

Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Merle (nee Whitmore) of North Prairie; his sons, John (Judy) and James (Carol); daughters, Patsy (Joe) Schneider, Dana Teske (partner Ellen Carpenter) and Nan (Alan) Teske-Thomson; eight grandchildren, Leah Teske, Tara Teske, Jaclyn (Ryan) Wolf, Eric (Lara) Schneider, Tyler Teske, Johathon Teske, Alan Thomson and Charles Thomson; five great-grandchildren, Justin Teske-Wolf, Jacob Lloyd, Andrew Lloyd, Alexa Wolf and Noah Lloyd; a brother, Thomas (Annette) Teske; a sister, Evelyn (Robert) Schultz; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Teske. Bud is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Bud was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; a sister, Marylou LaChance; and his dear friend, Bob Stein.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at North Prairie Village Hall, 130 N. Harrison St., North Prairie.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at First Congregational Church of Genesee (Educational Center), W306-S5047 Church St., Genesee, with the Rev. Joseph Medina officiating. Burial will follow at St. Pauls Cemetery in Genesee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the North Prairie Fire Department appreciated.
