Bertha ‘Bert’ Slawson

Bertha “Bert” Slawson (nee Flaeschel) of Maryville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at age 80. Prior to 1995, Bert lived in the Waukesha County area. She was an avid gardener, a food connoisseur and an accomplished actress with civic and community theaters in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas, as well as acting in television commercial work, both regionally and nationally.

Bert was preceded in death by her parents, Anton “Tony” and Elizabeth, and her brother, Ralph.

She is survived by a son, daughter, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
