Leona M. Schuster

Leona M. Schuster of Wales died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital at age 94. She was born Jan. 1, 1914, in Ixonia, to Hugh and Annie (nee Rowlands) Rees.

Leona was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School and Whitewater Normal School. She taught all eight grades at Brandybrook School. On June 5, 1943, she married Herbert C. Schuster, whom preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1991. She was a member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church. Leona was also a member of the Welsh Club of the Milwaukee area. She enjoyed traveling, especially visiting Wales, Great Britain.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Anna Mae (Frank) Badciong of Wales, Janet Schuster of Wales and Charles (Jackie) Schuster of Hustisford. She was the dear grandmother of Steven (Ruth) Badciong of Winona, Minn., Jeffery (Jean) Badciong of Eagle, James (Julie) Badciong of Wauwatosa, Judith Schuster of Hustisford and Elly Schuster of Pewaukee and proud great grandmother of Timothy, Peter, Joshua, Matthew, Megan and Sydney Badciong. She is further survived by many cousins in Wales, Great Britain, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; brothers, Thomas, Hugh and John Rees; sisters, Elizabeth Schuster and Marion Rees; and a special cousin, Helen (Rees) Ellison.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Sept. 18, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Al Nichols presiding. Graveside services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Jerusalem Cemetery; please meet at the cemetery.
