Donald G. ‘Don’ Skoug

March 2, 1940 - Sept. 16, 2008

Donald G. "Don" Skoug, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 68. Don was born March 2, 1940, the son of the late Edwin and Adeline Skoug.

He was a longtime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 8. Don retired from Cooper Power Systems. He was an avid bowler and golfer, his greatest joy in life was his family.

Don was the beloved husband of Mary; loving father of Amy (Colleen) Skoug; proud papa of Jeremy and Emily Skoug; dear brother of Mary (Ken) Tomfohrde, Dorothy (Ken) Smith, Betty (Frank) Eckstein, Joan (Bill) Barker, Charles (Donna) Skoug and Sharon (Tom) Metko; son-in-law of Adeline Mlodzik; and brother-in-law of Carol (Dick) Roberts and Len DacQuisto. Don is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sons, Eric and Jeremy; father-in-law, Barney Mlodzik; and sister-in-law, Judy DacQuisto.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 20, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Art Koepsell will officiate. The burial will take place immediately following the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
