Marion Phyllis (Tates) Feld

Marion Phyllis (Tates) Feld, 78, a resident of Sun City, Ariz., passed away peacefully Sept. 12, 2008, in the presence of her husband, Anthony; son, Stephen; daughter-in-law, Maureen; and closest friend, Dolly Pfeffer. Others who survive Marion include her son, Joseph; grandson, Steven; granddaughters, Amy Jo, Lisa and Julie; great-granddaughter, Danielle; and great-grandson, Daniel.

Marion was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Waukesha to Arthur and Stella Tates. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1948. In 1951, she married Anthony Feld and celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage. Prior to adopting two sons, Marion became a Girl Scout Brownie leader and was nicknamed Mia by the girls in her troop. In 1963, the Feld family moved to Alta Loma, Calif. Marion enjoyed being a PTA member and performing community volunteer work. She was the team mother for a Lionís Club-sponsored Little League baseball team from 1968 to 1975.

Anthony and Marion moved to Arizona in 1989 to retire. She was a long-standing member of the Sun City Lions Club. Marion enjoyed RV traveling with her husband and friends. She was known for having a wonderful sense of humor and will be sadly missed by her friends and family.

Marion will be cremated at Best Funeral Services in Sun City. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
