Leigh Anne Skibinski

June 2, 1950 - March 31, 2009

Leigh Anne Skibinski, 58, died Wednesday, March 31, 2009, at West Allis Memorial Hospital of ovarian cancer. She was born in Duluth, Minn., on June 2, 1950, the daughter of John and Lillian Holt.

Leigh graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in accounting. She married Ronald Skibinski in October of 1977 in Whitefish Bay. Leigh was employed at We Energies for 32 years where she was the finance corporate center controller. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle. Leigh loved cats and rescued many animals. She enjoyed camping, canoeing and making teddy bears. Leigh had many friends and family that counted on her for help. Her smile, determination, compassion and friendship will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her brother, Jon (Bev) Holt of Minneapolis; her sister, Leslie Holt of Franklin; mother-in-law, Dorothy Skibinski of Greenfield; brother-in-law, Allan (Carrie) Skibinski of West Bend; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, in 2005 and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Mealys Funeral Home, 103 Eagle St., Eagle. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 135 Waukesha Road, Eagle, with the Rev. Dennis Ackeret officiating.
