Kurt E. Loesche

Kurt E. Loesche of Waukesha died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 81. He was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 23, 1928, the son of Hans and Anna Loesche.

Kurt was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Waukesha. He was employed at Wisconsin Bell for more than 40 years and later volunteered at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Kurt served proudly in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and was active in the Navy and Army Reserves for more than 40 years. He also was a member of the Waukesha VFW Post No. 721. Kurt was an avid NASCAR fan and loved traveling, especially to Hawaii. He will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Kurt will be sadly missed by his sons, Gregory (Rebecca) Loesche of Greenfield and Mike (Janet) Loesche of Pewaukee; grandchildren, Jon, Adam and Tyler; and sister, Rosemary Loesche of Waukesha. Kurt is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and parents.

A visitation for Kurt will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 13 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. Mass Tuesday, April 14 at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will be officiating. Burial with military honors at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, will immediately follow the Mass.
