Virginia A. Weisz
Virginia A. Weisz, an amazing, dynamic mom, grandma and great-grandma, left this world April 5, 2009, at age 92. She was an inspiration to us all - a mom, registered nurse, successful businesswoman and harmonica player, par excellence.
She always emphasized family and friends, saying: "Itís what itís all about." She practiced what she preached. She left behind - all well-loved - five children, six grandchildren, 4-and-6/9 great-grandchildren, and a trail of friends that stretches across the country from Florida to Texas to Arizona to Wisconsin, and into Germany and even the Canary Islands.
As a nurse, her mission was the care of the elderly. With abundant love and hard work, she and her husband, Victor, created the Virginia Nursing Home in Waukesha and Woodland Health Center in Brookfield. She was a pioneer in the field of geriatric nursing.
She lived, loved and laughed with gusto, and always "lifted up
hearts." Well done, Mom and Gram.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Cedar Crest in Janesville, where she resided since 2001. The service will be held at 2 p.m. April 25.
