Harry D. Maxwell

Harry D. Maxwell of Waukesha died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 83. He was born in Chenequa on June 18, 1925, the son of Harry and Lillian Maxwell.
On Feb. 12, 1949, Harry married the love of his life, Florence Wegner. Harry was known as a compassionate, intelligent people person who could fix anything. He loved children, dogs and spending time on his land in Black River Falls. Harry’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Harry proudly served his country in the South Pacific during World War II as a United States Marine.
Harry will be deeply missed by his wife, Florence of Waukesha; children, Chuck (Marija) Maxwell of Dousman, Andy (Andrea) Maxwell of Eagle and Bonnie (Mark) Wellnitz of Brookfield; grandchildren, Marcie, Clinton, Jessica, Quentin, Emalee, Olivia, Samantha, Georgette and great-grandson, Connor. Harry is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Gerald; his parents; and a brother, Melvin.
A visitation for Harry will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, April 15 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be from from 11 a.m. until the time of the noon funeral service Thursday at the funeral home (please see address above). Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Summit Cemetery, Summit.
