Patricia K. Kieckhefer

Patricia K. Kieckhefer (nee Kenney), 74, was born to eternal life Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She lost the battle to cancer, but remained strong and resolute throughout.

She was the beloved wife of the late Guy N. Kieckhefer Sr.; loving mother of Guy N. (Paddy) Kieckhefer Jr. and Sara Turner; and very proud grandmother of Guy III (Trey) and Trevor Kieckhefer and Elspeth Turner. She is further survived by her sisters, Allene and Kitty Kenney, and a brother, Bill Kenney.

A long-term resident of Waukesha, she was involved in many local civic organizations, the Waukesha Symphony and the Practical Club to name a few. She was active in the Republican Party and met her future husband through the Young Republicans, and she was active in the Herb Society of Wisconsin, serving as its president. Early in her life, she was recognized as one of Wisconsinís up and coming young writers in the area of short stories, and had numerous pieces published in various publications and books. She was an accomplished cook, working as a chef at some well-known restaurants in the Chicago area. Later in life, she moved to Oconomowoc and was active in several local bridge clubs as she loved to play bridge.

In every aspect of her life, Pat exemplified thoughtfulness, kindness, grace and a beautiful spirit, which will be her legacy. She touched many lives and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Although she will be missed, her wonderful and full life will be celebrated.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, April 19, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave. (Highway 67), Oconomowoc. A burial will take place for the family at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 20, at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
