Thomas C. Dwyer, 54, formerly of Waukesha, died at St. Clairís Hospital in Denville, N.J., on Sunday, April 5, 2009. He was born in La Crosse on April 25, 1954, to Edwin C. and Ruth Ann (nee Ranne) Dwyer.

Tom was a 1972 graduate of Waukesha High School and received his bachelorís degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He moved to Rockaway, N.J., in 2003. Tom was an operations manager at Cortegra Group in Fairfield, N.J. He was a passionate sports fan and loved literature and music.

He will be sadly missed by many family members, including his former wife, Anne Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla., and his children, Kelley (Robert) Grorud of Janesville, John (Angel) Dwyer of Greensboro, N.C., and Michael Dwyer of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was the very proud grandfather of Russel Grorud. He is further survived by his brother, Edwin (Crystal) Dwyer of Escanaba, Mich.; sisters, Mary (Steve) Haumschild of Waukesha and Ann (Ken) Lech of Spring Grove, Ill.; his girlfriend, Peace Kwiyamba; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from noon until the 2:30 p.m. service Saturday, April 25, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Tomís nephew, Ed Dwyer, will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
