ELM GROVE Dorothy Peshak Sept. 27, 1918 - April
23, 2009 Dorothy Peshak (nee
Hagemann) passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at age 90. Dorothy Marie
Hagemann Peshak was born Sept. 27, 1918, the first of four children to
Clara and August J.H. Hagemann. She was a graduate of
Wisconsin Business University of La Crosse. In 1943, she married Donald I.
Peshak, who’s career with Mobil Oil Corp., as auditor, involved
transfers. They had homes in Rice Lake, Mauston, Steven’s Point and
Wausau before moving to Hales Corners in 1967. Donald was employed at
Clark Oil and Refining Corp. and Dorothy was employed by Milwaukee County
and then the Medical College of Wisconsin. They moved into their home in
Elm Grove in 1984 and Dorothy retired in 1992, just prior to the death of
her husband in December. She
was a member of the Elm Grove Women’s Club, the Wadhams-Mobil
Oldtimer’s Club, the Milwaukee County Retirees and the Waukesha Lodge of
Elks No. 400. She is survived by her
sons, Blair Keith Peshak of Georgetown, Texas, and Douglas Leigh (the late
Sandra) Peshak of Muskego; a stepdaughter, Rosalle (Byron) Terry; one
grandchild, Jayme Leigh Peshak Sisel; and four stepgrandchrildren. She is
further survived by her sisters, Florence Miller of Appleton and Carolyn
Jean (Young) Cho of Denver; seven nieces; five nephews; other relatives
and friends. She was preceded in
death by her brother, Robert Hagemann of Farmington Hills, Mich. A memorial gathering
will be held from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. memorial service Wednesday,
April 29, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales
Corners. A private interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in La
Crosse. In lieu of flowers,
memorials in Dorothy’s name to the Medical College of Wisconsin,
Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Elm Grove Women’s Club
and the Waukesha Lodge of Elks No. 400 are greatly appreciated. Hartson Funeral Home,
