Schessler May 14, 1951 - April
6, 2009 Lynn Allen Schessler,
57, formerly of Waukesha, died peacefully in his home Monday, April 6,
2009. He was born May 14, 1951, in Waukesha, to Carl and Bettie (nee
Collins) Schessler. Lynn will be missed by
many family members, including his children, Cheri (Kimberly Stuart),
Sarah, Trysta, Justin, Taylor and Nolan, and his stepdaughter, Nicole.
Lynn’s grandchildren included Michael, Jaime and three others. He is
survived by his siblings, Carl (Linda) Schessler, Terry Schessler and Jodi
(Mark) Konsella. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He
will be graciously missed by many beloved friends. He was a compassionate,
caring and helpful person who will be greatly missed by his friends up in
Wautoma, where he spent his last two years of life.
Lynn enjoyed going up
north by his granddad and granny Collins during his youth. Lynn attended
Waukesha South High School. He entered the Marine Corps and served at Camp
Lejeune, N.C. Lynn returned home to Waukesha and began working at Navistar
and held other employment over the years. His later passions included
spending time with his eldest daughter and her children, repairing
computers, gaming and Hershey’s candy. Lynn also had a special place in
his heart for animals, his two cats Boo and Baby, and his daughters’
dogs and ferrets. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Carl and Bettie, and his brother, Gary (preceded in
death by wife Joan). A memorial service
celebrating Lynn’s life will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday,
April 29, with a service at 6 p.m., at First Congregational United Church
of Christ, 100 E. Broadway, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers,
memorials are suggested to his daughter, Cheri, who has previously
arranged for his cremation and other related services. Thank you to Carl and
