Donald L. Hall

Donald L. Hall, born in 1929 in Mansfield , Ohio , died peacefully at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 20, 2009, of cancer.

Don, a former  Methodist minister, spent 30 years in Hollywood as a television and documentary film writer and novelist. He taught screen writing at Waukesha County Technical College from 1997 to 2002.

He was the beloved husband of Cele Hall; father of Sharon and Linnea Hall and Alicia Hall-Flesch; and grandfather of Donny, Mikey and Katie Flesch. Other surviving family members include his sister, Linda Duncan of Shelby , Ohio ; a brother, Bob Hall of Fruitland, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Since Don has donated his body to science, there will be no formal services.

A memorial celebration potluck will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at his home in Pewaukee. Contact chall1031@wi.rr.com for more information.
