Donald L. ‘Don’ Howie

Donald L. “Don” Howie found peace Friday, July 31, 2009, at age 88.

Don’s parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

He will be fondly remembered by his dear wife of 58 years, “Marge”; children, Scott of Jacksonville, Fla., Mary Kay of Mequon, Sharon “Shari” and Timothy “Tim” of Waukesha; grandchildren, Katie (Dwayne) Chojnacki, Jessica Howie, Lauren Howie Laur and T.J. Howie; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Austin, Memphis and Carson Chojnacki; along with other relatives and friends.

Don honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his service he went to work for Fox Head Brewery and eventually retired from Amron Corp. in Waukesha . He enjoyed his grandchildren and gardening.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. , Waukesha . An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial with a procession to St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Waukesha , will follow. The Very Rev. James T. Volkert is presiding.
