Jeffery Charles Stern, a resident of Waukesha, surrounded by his family after a long struggle with cancer, died at home Friday, Aug. 7, 2009. Jeff was born Sept. 21, 1955, in Waukesha. He proudly served in the U.S. Airborne and was honorably discharged. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman.  

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Christine; his parents, Charles and Shirley Stern of Waukesha; his stepchildren, Benjamin, Amanda and Jamie; his stepgranddaughter, Dakota; his brothers, Stephen (Rhonda) of Dousman and Thomas (Barbara) of North Prairie; his very special niece, Denae; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI  53186. The  Rev. Gary Liedtke will officiate. Private burial will be at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated for the family to choose a charity of choice at a later date. 

The family of Jeff would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care and concern from the Rev. Gary Liedtke, the Rev. Kathy Boadwine, the Rev. Rod Resheske and Home & Hospice Advantage (especially Todd and Linda E.).
