Kirk Edward Imse left this world with a song in his heart Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, in Philadelphia. He was born in Wisconsin on July 16, 1948.

Kirk lived, loved and danced, bringing a smile to those who knew him.

He was the husband of Merry Ristow; father of Elliot and Emily Imse; stepfather to Katherine Altmann and James Ponasik Jr.; grandpa to Jordan, Kelly and Elizabeth Altmann and Alexandra and Aidan Ponasik; and brother of Mark Imse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Norma Imse, and his brother, Clark.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. celebration of his life Thursday, Aug. 20, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.
