Milton J. Foat

Milton J. Foat of Big Bend found peace Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at LindenGrove in New Berlin. He was 93. Milton was born in Antigo on March 22, 1916, the son of Oscar and Elizabeth (nee Freimark) Foat.
On May 15, 1943, he married Janet M. North in Rochester.
Milton proudly served his country in the Pacific as a Navy Seabee during World War II.
He loved his family, fishing, traveling and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Janet; his children, Carol (Martin) Mauthe, Lawrence (Joan) and Jeffrey (Beth); his grandchildren, Jean (Charlie) Champion, Patrick, Lisa (Orlando), Ryan (Laura), Barrett (Casey), Reuben, Orlin (Rebecca), Shelby, Randy and Jason (Catherine) Russo; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Julian, Simon, Damacio and Elena; and siblings, Marion Mutter, Monica (Robert) Knuth and Chester (Denise). Milton is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Alvin, Leo, Vernon, Henry, Reibert and Edwin ﾒAce.ﾓ
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. sharing of memories Monday, Aug. 24, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
