Lois M. Pearson (nee Risner)

Lois M. Pearson (nee Risner) of Waukesha died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 83. She was born Dec. 20, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Emma Risner. She married Gordon I. Pearson on Aug. 30, 1947. Lois came off the farm in Beaver in 1943 with her parents and started working a number of jobs in Marinette, such as the Princess Cafˇ, Woolworth Dime Store and the Marinette Knitting Mills. After marriage, she settled down to assist her husband in family business. These firms were State Wide Lighting Inc. and Professional Systems Inc. She was on the board of directors of both firms and served as an officer, as well. She was a member of the Wisconsin Synod of Lutheran Churches all her life. Lois was a member of the Lady Elks in Waukesha and was an avid bowler with Ladies League, "champions" for eight years in a row. She also was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s chapters in Green Bay and Waukesha.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years, Gordon I. Pearson; son, Dean C. (Nancy) Pearson of Brookfield; and daughter, Patti E. Pearson of Waukesha; grandchildren, Lynn and Eric Pearson and Joshua and Jamie Davies; niece, Sharon (Vilas) Kamka of Peshtigo; many cousins; and a host of other relatives and dear friends that she wishes to thank for their kindness and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Arlene Hartwig.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 28, at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Stephen Ristow will be officiating.
