BROOKFIELD

Vincent E. Morris

Vincent E. Morris of Brookfield went to the Lord peacefully Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at the age of 92. He was born in Rathbun, Iowa, the son of the late Martin and Katherine.

Vincent proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he met and married Dorothy (nee Schliesleder), his beloved wife of 64 years.

Vincent was a dedicated father to Deborah (Neil) Swissman, Jeffrey (Maureen), Bonita Wright, Joseph, Thomas (Junissa), Daniel, Jennifer (John) Wagner and the late Christopher. Vincent will be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many devoted family members and friends. He was hardworking, a dedicated family man and a devout Catholic. Vincent enjoyed reminiscing about his earlier days in Iowa, horseback riding, his service in the Coast Guard and working for the U.S. Postal Service. He took pleasure in watching shows such as Andy Griffith, EWTN and Gunsmoke; but of all the things in this world, the thing Vincent cherished the most was his Dorothy.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove, followed by burial at Visitation Cemetery.
