WAUKESHA
William ‘Bill’ Wilcox Dec. 23, 1928 - Dec. 13, 2009
Bill was born Dec. 23, 1928, to the late Alice and Basil Wilcox. He graduated from Waukesha High School and worked for Waukesha Foundry, retiring after many years of faithful service. He was a longtime member of Victory Assembly of God. Bill not only leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory, he leaves behind the building blocks used to make his family strong; the unconditional love and bonds that he created and shared will continue to keep us together. His jokes are not easily forgettable, and the sentiment behind them will be everlasting. He was the strength, love and laughter at the center of a wonderful family. Bill is survived by his three children, Barbara (Gerry) Schaefer, Diane McCaig and Daniel (Maureen) Wilcox, all of Waukesha; eight grandchildren, Angela (John) Csedo, Sgt. Michael Grainger, Jenny (Greg) Schlut, Matt Schaefer, Amanda (Dave) Peters, Zachary Bruchman (special friend, Jamie Bilgo), Tina Chronister and Laurel Wilcox; and five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Hope Williams, Collin and Tyler Schlut and Autumn Grainger. He is further survived by his brothers, Gerald (the late Patty) Wilcox and Richard (the late Barbara) Wilcox; a sister, Joyce (Tim) Pfaffle; many other relatives and dear friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Spc. Nathan Grainger. Funeral services will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 17, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Church and Chapel Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home is serving the family.
