Joan E. Skenandore (nee Landgraf)

Joan E. Skenandore (nee Landgraf) of Oconomowoc passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at home with her loved ones at her side, after a courageous and long battle with cancer, at the age of 76. Joan was born in Appleton on Nov. 28, 1933, the daughter of Harold and Viola Landgraf.

She lived in Chilton from 1941 to 1954 and always considered Chilton her hometown. Joan attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Chilton High School, graduating in 1952. After 21 years of service, Joan retired from Waukesha County Health and Human Services in 2006. Joan’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her loving children: son, Charles (Linda), and their daughter, Sarah; daughter, Debra (Kevin) Johnson, and their daughter, Tanya, and Tanya’s daughter, Caitlyn; their son, Dustin (fiancee Jessica Schultz), and his son, Josh; son, Michael (Debbie), and their son, Colton, and daughter, Vanessa; son, Thomas, and his son, Tyler, and daughter, Kayla, and their mother, Laura; and sister, Catherine (John) Korb and family.

Joan was preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Helen Voecks; and brothers, Edward and John Landgraf.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral Mass on Friday, Dec. 18, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating.
