Grace C. Fahrenkrug
Grace C. Fahrenkrug, 95, a longtime resident of Neenah, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at her home.
She was born the youngest daughter of Harry and Amelia (nee Luchow) Dix. She was a 1932 graduate of Appleton High School. On Nov. 12, 1935 she married Albert Fahrenkrug. Grace and Al lived in Neenah and were members of Trinity Lutheran Church since their marriage. Al preceded Grace in death on Jan. 26, 1986. For the last four years, Grace has resided at Island Shores in Neenah, where she enjoyed Friday night bingo. She will be lovingly remembered by her family for her spunk and infectious laugh.
Grace will be sadly missed by her two nieces and one nephew, Susan (Dr. Jack) Brueckner of Waupaca, Paula (the late Kenneth) Yatchak of Green Bay and Rick (Lil) Fahrenkrug of Neenah. She is further survived by her great nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Thomas) Mladucky of Appleton, Cathleen (Lee) Brisk of Waukesha, Dr. Karin (fiancˇ Tobin Follenweider) Brueckner of Littleton, Colo., Jacqueline (Dr. Daniel) Everts of Waupaca, Patrick (Sarah) Yatchak of Stillwater, Minn., Christopher Yatchak of Minneapolis, Annie (Eric) Knudson of Park Falls, Joseph (Katherine) Fahrenkrug and seven great- great nieces and nephews and her longtime neighbor and good friend, Charlotte. In addition to her loving husband Albert, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Perkins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church 407 Oak Street Neenah, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. Memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, WI 54956. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at Island Shores for the care and compassion shown to Grace.
