Jean Hedtcke

Jean Hedtcke of Waukesha passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at her home, surrounded by family, at the age of 79 years. Jean was married to
Leonard Hedtcke on Aug. 3, 1963, and the two raised a son and daughter. Jean and her husband were members of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 50 years, and she had also been a longtime church coordinator and member of the Women’s Guild. She truly enjoyed the outdoors, especially flowers, feeding and nurturing her birds.

Through her illness, she fought valiantly with a cheerful heart and love and appreciation for those around her. Jean had also become an active member and advocate of the support group Encore. She will be sadly missed.

The family also wishes to thank Kathy Labinski, Dr. LeMarbre and the staff of the oncology department at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, as well as the caregivers of ProHealth Care.
