Stefan "Steve" Heinemann

Stefan "Steve" Heinemann of Brookfield was born to eternal life on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the age of 92 years.

He was born Nov. 26, 1917 in Hrastovac, Yugoslavia, to Jacob and Elizabeth (nee Heintz) Heinemann.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine (nee Stoss) for 70 years; the dear father of Stefan (Charlene) Heinemann Jr. and Katherine (the late Jack) Martynotte, loving grandfather of Jennifer Heinemann, Sara (Phillip) Roematt and Stefanie (Joel) Waltersdorf; and great-grandfather of Jonathan and Gabriella Heinemann and Jacob Waltersdorf. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, with a private family interment to follow the service. Friends may call at the cemetery chapel from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service.

Stefan was the original inventor of the riding lawnmower. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing at his lake home on Lake Koshkonong.
