Merle J. Shaffer, 80, of East Troy, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at his residence. Merle was born March 25, 1929, in Maryland, the son of the late Dr. Stewart and Rose (nee Lund) Shaffer. Merle is survived by his cousin, Harold Trout of Eagle. No services are being held. Mealy’s Funeral Home, 594-2442, assisted the family.
