Jean A. Bigg

    June 3, 1937 – Dec. 30, 2009

    Jean A. Bigg passed away peacefully Wednesdeay, Dec. 30, 2009, at AngelsGrace Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
    Jean was born June 3, 1937, in Waukesha, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian Lawrence. She was married to Joseph Bigg on Aug. 8, 1970, and he preceded her in death in July 2009. Jean was a longtime and active member of the First Congregational Church in Waukesha, where she served on many boards and committees over the years. Jean was a devoted Sunday school teacher at First Congregational, as well as the longtime typist for the "Church Mouse" newsletter. Jean was an avid bowler and served as the league’s secretary for the Sunset Bowl Tuesday morning "early birds" for 38 years.
    Jean is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Todd) Pieper, Kay (Michael) Clabault and Jennifer (Dean) Binder; grandchildren, Megan (Darnell) Wiltz, Jon Pieper, Katie and Scot Gosa and Christopher, Brandon and Madeline Binder; greatgrandson, Cooper Wiltz; and mother-in-law, Katherine Bigg. Jean is further survived by her brothers, Jitts (JoAn) Lawrence and Gary (Carol) Lawrence; her sisters-in-law, Alice Lawrence, Mary Ann (Albert) Dahl, Nancy Sommers, Delores Bigg, Debra (Frank) Hellenthal, Patricia (Walter) Bandomir, Jan Frischmann and Karen (Sam) Zacharias; brothers-in-law, Alvin (Brenda) Frischmann, Jerome (Shirley) Frischmann and Wilbert Schwenk; and other relatives and friends.
    Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lillian Lawrence; husbands, Phillip Frischmann and Joseph Bigg; brothers, Ray and Paul Lawrence; sister-inlaw, Hilda Lawrence; fatherand mother-in-law, Joseph and Anna Frischmann; brother-in-law, David Frischmann; father-in-law, Joseph Bigg Sr.; and sister-in-law, Catherine Schwenk.
    Visitation for Jean will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at First Congregational Church, 100 E. Broadway, Waukesha, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. Private burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
