Paul M. Krubsack

Paul M. Krubsack of Westfield, formerly of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at his home in Westfield at age 72. He was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Milwaukee, the son of Walter and Caroline (nee Steffes) Krubsack.

Paul attended and graduated from Lutheran High School in 1954 in Milwaukee and served in the U.S. Navy from August 1954 to October 1957. He married Nancy Eckmann on Aug. 22, 1964, at Our Lady of Good Hope in Milwaukee. Paul started his working career at American Motors and Kent Millwork in Milwaukee. He had also worked in construction until 1980. From 1980 until 2000, Paul worked for Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. He was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake and Post 244 Metz Mosher in Westfield, where he was commander of the American Legion and a Harris Fire Department volunteer.

Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy of Westfield; children, Michael (Wanda) Krubsack of Watertown and Sheila (Kevin) Schmidt of Wonder Lake, Ill.; three grandchildren, Leann (Matt), Jackie and Alan; three great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Alessia and Evalina; sister, Ruth Unora of Milwaukee; brother, Robert (Marcella) Krubsack of Brookfield; and two brothers-in-law, Randy (Geri) Eckmann of Sarasota, Fla., and Ken Eckmann of West Allis.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter Krubsack.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, intersection of Dearborn and County Y, Crystal Lake, with the Rev. Chuck Fluegel presiding. Full military honors will follow the service. The burial of his urn will be at Union Grove Cemetery at a later date.
