Nobuko U. Rozek

Nobuko U. Rozek of Mukwonago passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at her residence. She was 76. Nobuko was born in Japan on Nov. 10, 1932, the daughter of Gunzo and Mitsu Ushida.

On June 15, 1960, she married William Rozek in Tokyo.

Nobuko was a former employee at Parkview Middle School in Mukwonago, where she was a hall monitor for approximately 28 years. She was well-known for crocheting snowflakes. Nobuko loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs. Also, her friends and colleagues at Parkview were very special to her. Nobuko was a very kind, gentle and caring woman.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; three daughters, Jackie Rozek of Muskego, Debie (Dennis) Wright of the town of Troy and Brenda (Bob) Putze of Waterford; one brother, Satashi; three sisters, Masako, Yuko and Noriko, all of Japan; four grandchildren, Michael McGraw, Skyler and Kaytlyn Wright and Joey Putze; one great-grandchild, DeEstin Wright; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Itchea and Yoko.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, Feb. 6, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Francis Malloy will officiate. Cremation will follow.
