Goldie Louise O’Dell

Goldie Louise O’Dell, 101, of Waukesha, formerly of Three Rivers, Mich., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Waukesha Springs Nursing Home. She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on April 15, 1907, the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Samuelson) Shoup.

Mrs. O’Dell had been a longtime resident of Three Rivers before moving to Waukesha in 1985. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star No. 210, where she served as past president of St. Joseph County, past president of the southwestern district and Worthy Matron.

Mrs. O’Dell leaves to cherish her memory her loving family; one daughter, Elizabeth Louise (James) O’Dell; one son, William Paul Burns; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Alvin Burns, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 at Hohner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Deily of the First Presbyterian Church Three Rivers officiating.

Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
