Gerald L. Carpenter

Gerald L. Carpenter of North Prairie died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 65. He was born in Waukesha on Oct. 26, 1943.

Gerald was a 1963 graduate of Waukesha South High School and served in the National Guard from 1964 until 1973. On Jan. 8, 1966, he married Marie (nee Almekinder) at St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Gerald worked for Archie Ladwig from 1963 until 1977 and then worked for H&K for 27 years, until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of St. Paulís Catholic Church.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie, of North Prairie; their children, Ann Marie (Robert) LeDuc of Willard, Jerry Carpenter of Pewaukee, Larry (Heidi) Carpenter of Franklin and Amy (Brian) Rosenberg of Pleasant Prairie; his mother, Viola Spaulding of Waukesha; and grandchildren, Jessica, Alieshia, Hannah, Rebekkah, Amanda, Autumn, Andrew, Joshua and Thomas. He is further survived by his brother, Dennis (Jean) Spaulding of Eagle, along with other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louis.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service today, Feb. 17, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
