Sandra L. ‘Sandy’ Krueger (nee Nader)

Sandra L. "Sandy" Krueger (nee Nader), a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, after a courageous two-year battle with colon cancer at age 69. Sandy was born May 16, 1939.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church for 47 years, where she was active in the altar guild for 30 years and the PSW group. Sandy retired after 40 years from the Waukesha Foundry. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Sandy loved to travel throughout the whole United States, take family vacations to the Northwoods and enjoyed reading. She was a proud "nanny" who never missed attending her grandchildren’s school and sport activities.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim Krueger, whom she married 46 years ago in September; daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Thorstad and Amy (Mike) Aldrich; grandchildren, Madeline and Lucas Thorstad, Erik (Mallory) and Meghan Aldrich; great-granddaughter, Camryn Aldrich. Sandy is further survived by aunts, uncles, brothers- and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and in-laws.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. The Rev. Gary Liedtke will officiate. The visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service Thursday at the church. Private family burial will be held at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, New Berlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
