Jack H. Mill

Jack H. Mill, 73, of Palmyra, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009. He was born June 7, 1935, the son of the late Howard and Marian Mill.
He was a retired, self-employed electrician in Palmyra for many years. Jack was a member and past president of the Palmyra Lions Club, member of the Fish and Game club, served on the Palmyra Village Board for several years, and served as chief for the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department, where he was an active member for 25-plus years.
Jack loved playing practical jokes on friends, and enjoyed hunting in the Northwoods.
He is lovingly survived by his longtime friend and companion, Mary Squire; son, Scott (Terri) of Eagle; daughters, Tamara (Roy) Lampsa of Nashville, Tenn., and Rochelle (Peter) Schroeder of Wales; grandchildren, Tyler and Danielle Mill, Nicole Lampsa, Shannon (Kyle) Love, and Jaime, Kyle and Rachel Schroeder; sister, Mary (Roy) Klein; brother, Rick (Carol) Mill; and half-sisters, Janice Davis and Jeannine Rupprecht. Jack is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
Jack was preceded in death by a half-brother, Jim Stacey.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra, with the Rev. William McBride officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
