Lawrence ‘Larry’ Duranceau April 11, 1930 - Jan. 3, 2009
Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Wisconsin Bell after 37 years of service. He was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing the guitar and singing with his family. He will be sadly missed by his children, Sylvia (Richard) Schmidt of Shawano, the Rev. Robert (Phyllis) Duranceau of Byram and Diane Roberts of Green Bay. He was the proud grandfather of Cody, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jonathon, Janel and Shane; and great-grandfather of Austin, Korbin, Emma and Elizabeth. He is further survived by his brother, Gene (Charlene) Duranceau of Bowler; sister, Belva (Edwin) Marshman of Watertown; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenore "Lee" Duranceau, in August 2008; son-in-law, Donel Roberts; and sisters, Ione Dixon and Lois Schmidt. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Jan. 9. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
