Oleta Harriett Lartz (nee Larson)

Oleta Harriett Lartz (nee Larson) of Mukwonago, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Kiwanis Manor in East Troy. Oleta was born in Burlington on April 10, 1915, the daughter of Ole and Matilda Larson.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Lartz; loving mother of Loretta Brunette, Leslie Lartz, Donna (Douglas) Silkworth and Gary Lartz; and the dear sister of Katherine Larson and Leroy Larson. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harry; son, Richard (who died in an airplane crash at 19); and two granddaughters, Kathy and Dee Dee.

She was a longtime member of Mount Olive and served on altar guild, was Sunday school teacher, quilt maker and nursery attendant. She loved music and had the radio on all the time. We will miss her lovely smile and her kind and giving heart.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 17, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 211 Main St., Mukwonago. Interment will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Mukwonago.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
